Examples of Patch triggers needed

Looking at the code, it looks like you support patching of standard k8 resources but I cannot find any examples in your repo of how to do this. Can someone provide me an example of how I could patch a resources labels or status subresource. Right now, once my workflow finishes, I want to update that resource using the patch functionality.
