hey @BYK what are your thoughts on this?

  • how about we create 2 subtabs in trace detail page - Spans and Errors
  • Spans tab will display span tree
  • Errors tab will list down related Errors

Something like this

Right now we are listing all related errors to trace in every span details like this -

That's an interesting idea. At this point I'm starting to question whether we should have two separate tabs for Errors and Traces at this point, given I'm bringing the "Details | Breadcrumbs | Context" sub tabs to transactions too.

The core complaint regarding this issue/item was the T: and S: parts at the top right corner of the error details page not having much meaning unless you know what those letters stand for (which, most people won't).

I think its good to have a Generic Errors listing page (current implementation).
But its also good, if we enhance the UX of showing Errors related to a trace in tracedetails page.
