We recently received a report from a user about some dead links on the comt.ioos.us page.

I'm filing this issue here because it was raised from the comt.ioos.us page, but it's actually broader (across most of our ioos.us menubar/headers) on all of the xyz.ioos.us sub-sites. The link under viewers > Coastal and Ocean Modeling Testbed goes to a 404 or some other error page (see screenshot below). Also the webmaster email link is incorrect.

Since the COMT viewer has been disabled/deprecated, we should remove it from all of our menubars (unless a replacement exists I don't know about). This affects at least comt.ioos.us and hfradar.ioos.us, and probably others as well.

Also, relevant to this issue (of ioos.us menubars being challenging to maintain and keep updated) is developing a plan to more easily maintain the multitude of xyz.ioos.us sites that currently exist each in a distinct repository that must be updated individually for any minor change to the menubar:

ioos/ioos-us#263

We might want to look at other options besides GHA to improve this (as mentioned in the above issue comments).

Original comt.ioos.us dead link report:

The "Coastal and Ocean Modeling Testbed" option:
https://comt.ioos.us/projects/necofs_transition

takes you to here:
https://comt.ioos.us/map

which kicks this error:
The requested URL was rejected. Please consult with your administrator.

AND
The contact us page has the email of "[email protected]" - except that the link that points to is "[email protected]" - which gives and "address not found"

Hey @mwengren , I'll jump on this next week. Bummer that Required Workflow isn't available anymore, I'll spend some time looking at alternative paths to take.
