@kknee @Bobfrat, The Feedback tab on the front page looks good and it is on some of the other ioos.us pages. We would like to add it to all the Ioos.us pages. Can you start working on it and provide an estimate of when could it be completed?

@kknee Can I get a status check on this?

I've started updating links for the following:
https://gliders.ioos.us/
https://atn.ioos.us/
https://data.ioos.us//
https://hfradar.ioos.us/
https://ug2.ioos.us/

For data.ioos.us there is a FEEDBACK link on the top that links to a feedback form. For this should I link to that Feedback form page from the new feedback button on the left side? See screenshot below:

@BeckyBaltes @mwengren any thoughts on the feedback mechanism above?

I think @mwengren should have the final say. For the data.ioos.us I would link to the same form used on the left side. Otherwise, I would think you could remove it from the top header bar. We did discuss with Kelly if there was a way to ensure when we receive the feedback, it indicates what page the reviewer is providing feedback for. This would help us to target where the issue is. Even if it's not in the feedback form, can that be captured somehow? Or can that be added to the form?

For data.ioos.us the email includes the dataset information and looks like sample below.
With the subject as IOOS Catalog Feedback and the dataset being provided, is this all that is needed, or would other information need to be grabbed?

Subject: [EXT] IOOS Catalog Feedback

Christopher Adams [email protected] has submitted feedback on dataset blia2-bligh-reef-light-ak from the IOOS Catalog:

Test, please disregard.
Thanks,
Chris

On @gitchrisadams comment above, ideally I'd like the eventual feedback email to include the URL of the page it was generated from to help us respond. The idea was it could be submitted as a hidden form field automatically.

The current Catalog feedback email you cited above includes the dataset name, which is probably close enough, but a URL would be ideal, especially if it could be used by other sites.

See my comment on ioos/ckanext-ioos-theme#182 for what I'd ideally do with the buttons in the Catalog UI. But I would confer with @benjwadams and @brianmckenna on the Catalog code migration if that is going to take much work, may be better to wait.
