Functional issues with synchronizing compressed package content #333
Comments
The running platform is Windows 10 x64, using the latest v1.5.5 Release 2 x64. Thank you |
It seems to be an ancient issue with 7-Zip. I tested previous versions of 7-Zip and still couldn't implement this function correctly until 9.20. However, Winrar works very well with the same function. 7-Zip has a really high compression rate, and I hope this feature can be fixed on 7-Zip |
I have no idea what the issue is about. What compression? What format? |
Any compression, any format, seems to have nothing to do with the compression options. For example, if I want to compress 1. jpg 2. txt 3. mp4, I chose to create a compressed package and during the second compression, I chose the option to synchronize the contents of the compressed package and only compressed 1. jpg to try to synchronize the contents of the compressed package, but the compressed package still contains 1. jpg 2. txt 3. mp4. I tested the official 7-Zip and found the same issue, but I don't know how to provide feedback to the official, Thank you for your reply |
Please describe with some sample commands what you are doing, and what seems wrong. I don't uderstand the issue currently |
Hello author, when there are fewer files in the compressed package compared to the compressed files, this function will compress the extra part into the compressed package. But when there are more files in the compressed package than the compressed files, it will not delete the extra files in the original compressed package. My understanding of synchronization is to keep the same as the selected compressed file, but it does not do so.Is this a bug? Looking forward to your repair
