When you use milvus-backup to create a backup, the config file already specifies the source place and the target place of data files:

You set the source place by minio.address, minio.bucketName and minio.rootPath, and set the target place minio.backupAddress, minio.backupBucketName and minio.backupRootPath.

After you create a backup, the data files are copied from the source place to the target place.
Then you need to manually download(or use minio sdk) to download the backup files to the minio of the local standalone milvus.

Let's say the local standalone use the local minio server bucket name = "a-bucket", then you download the backup files to the a-bucket/backup

The next step is: change the backup.config, set the minio.backupAddress and minio.address to the local minio, then use restore command.

i backup the milvusdb in k8s and copy the backup file to the standalone,then use the "milvus-backup list",it show the erros as show:

1.do the backup in k8s
/opt/milvus_backup/milvus-backup create -n mytest_bak_20241209 -d mvsdb_ai --config=/opt/milvus_backup/conf/backup.yaml

2.copy the backup to the standalone
[root@ceph02 backup]# tar -zcvf mytest_bak_20241209.tar.gz ./mytest_bak_20241209/

scp mytest_bak_20241209.tar.gz [email protected]:/home/middle/milvus/volumes/minio/a-bucket/backup/

3.ungzip the backup file
cd /home/middle/milvus/volumes/minio/a-bucket/backup/
tar -xvf mytest_bak_20241209.tar.gz

I don't think your minio server can recognize the unzip files.
The files should be uploaded to minio server with minio sdk or minio client.

If your minio server has exposed the 9001 port, you can open this address in web browser: http://localhost:9001/
Then you will see the Upload button
