ECCE suffers random, rare segfaults

ECCE suffers random segfaults sometimes when opening a window. No indication of this is given, other than that the progress animation continues and never stops, and now more windows can be opened.

This happens rarely, which makes it harder to chase down. Worth collecting data though to try to address it and improve the stability of ECCE
