sat serial numbers are not onchain and all of them will never be.
but sats with inscriptions can be onchain at time of tx.
make it standard practice moving forward to include sat serial numbers in a special designated metadata tag field.
as for past inscriptions, reinscriptions can be used to add onchain serial numbers if desired.
this is more of a psychological enhancement to fortify the foundation of Ordinals Theory where currently there is only offchain serial numbers, FIFO belief system, indexer/explorer/wallet reliance for seeing and knowing the sat used and anchored to inscriptions.
i have explored this independently and wanted to share my opinion that this should be a part of the ord standard.
