Currently to update the static metadata is manual thing by connecting to a polkadot node with the subxt cli as follows:

1. cargo install --locked subxt-cli 
# This assumes that polkadot is running on `http://127.0.0.1:9933`
3. subxt metadata -f bytes > metadata.scale
