lively api to download files

hi, for my wallpaper I created a system that notifies those who have the wallpaper if there are updates with a toast popup, but it would be nice to be able to add the possibility of downloading the update directly from javascript itself. I've tried many ways to download files from js like I would on a normal site, but nothing works, is there an alternative way to download files from wallpaper js?
