Currently only UTF8 and UTF16 text as well as plain binary messages are supported, so theoretically native support for JSON could prove handy.

I'm not sure if it makes sense to add native support for JSON encoded messages because sending JSON over webwire as either UTF8 or UTF16 encoded strings is already possible.

Are there any benefits we would gain from adding native JSON support?
