Going through this years proceedings a few things that I noticed:

  • code should not be submitted as an image
  • tables should not be an image
  • all images should have a caption / be a figure
  • add a short_title to the template, ensure this exists if the title is >100 characters
  • add a description to the template, test that it is between a certain length
  • add a title to the latex template
  • footnotes that are just a link, should be a link instead
  • supplemental notebooks should have titles and some markdown cells
  • ensure all iframes have a placeholder
  • ensure all gif/mov images have a placeholder
  • warn if ack section doesn't exist
  • Warn on Figure \ref --> \autoref, etc. for sections, tables, etc.
  • Check the fonts used in svgs
