Guatemala

Who are you, and where are you from?

i'm from guatemala, been using linux since ubuntu 10.04 was a the distro to use, i write and maintain software.

What are you working on?

i crudely cobble together software that barely works but turns out useful, like an apple employee but open source and payed even less

but for a list of notable software:

  • pywal16 - continuation of pywal.
  • pywal16-libadwaita - colors for the adwaita style on gtk and qt.
  • ueberzug - maintenance of ueberzug, i do a lot of the work...
  • shed - the most uselessest piece of software i've cobbled, it has 0 use for anyone other than me as it can provide user level services and session process for linux completely independient of any init system.
  • sctd - simple daemon for sct to auto adjust screen temperature, lighter than redshift.
  • steam-adwaita-gradience - theme steam from a gradience preset.
  • afreq.sh - a light weight daemon to optimize cpu frequency via governor dependant on cpu load and running on battery or ac.
  • fzf-copypasta - a fzf powered copypasta picker.
  • tmux-lskeys - a tmux plugin to display your keybinds with colors and better formatting than default.
  • betterxsecurelock - secure x11 screen locking made beautiful, an xsecurelock distro if you will.

Why is their sponsorship important? How will you use the funds?

at this time when job offers for my skills is scarce on my region being able to pay bills is a godsend.

@eylles

i wanna cover my internet costs with github sponsors.
