Specs

DPV, Technical (TECH), AI, EU-GDPR, EU-AIAct

New Concept(s)

Term: dpv:HumanSubject
Label: Human Subject
Definition: A Human that is the Subject a specific context, such as Data Subject for Data or AI Subject for AI
Parent term: dpv:NaturalPerson
Source: DPVCG
Usage note: This concept was created to provide categories of human subjects which can be used in specific roles e.g. as a data or AI subject without duplication of such categories, as DPV previously provided such categories as part of the Data Subject taxonomy

Changed Concept(s)

Existing Term: dpv:DataSubject, tech:Subject, ai:AISubject
Change: parent changed to dpv:HumanSubject
Justification: these now become subclasses of human subjects

coolharsh55 added a commit that referenced this issue Dec 22, 2024
- adds `dpv:HumanSubject` and `dpv:hasHumanSubject`
- changed parent of `dpv:DataSubject` to `dpv:HumanSubject` with the
  same change in correponding properties
- moved data subject taxonomy with `dpv:HumanSubject` as the top concept
- added note to `tech:Subject` to use `dpv:HumanSubject` when the
  subject is a human
- includes RDF and HTML outputs
- closes #205
- This change is a result of discussions of integrating AIRO/VAIR which
included the concept `AISubject` and the desire to reuse the existing
  data subjects taxonomy

Definition here reads (in part) Human that is the Subject a specific context.

There should be a word after Subject, probably of.

I was not able to locate that string nor anything like it in the linked commit, so maybe it was fixed. It still seemed worth flagging, just in case.

Thanks Ted - fixed it. The definition is now: "The individual (or category of individuals) that is the 'subject' within some context such as personal data (dpv:DataSubject) or technology (tech:Subject)". I was looking for whether we have an existing source/definition for this concept, but there isn't any. So adding it in now.
