Hi @mbrukman ,
Thank you for sending this PR.
The problem is: Binder sometimes fails to start, Colab only copies one notebook at a time, without installing all the libraries or the images or the datasets, and Deepnote doesn't have the latest libraries.
So there needs to be further explanations along with these links, or else people will keep running into these issues. This is what I actually did on the repository for the second edition: https://github.com/ageron/handson-ml2
I also simplified README.md, and pushed the detailed installation instructions to a separate page. I'm thinking of doing the same thing for the 1st edition, but I just haven't had the time yet. If you feel like doing it, that would be tremendously helpful! :)
